How it works

  1. Open the file

    Tap the button and pick the DWG in Files. A file from WhatsApp or Mail: save it to Files first.

  2. Read it

    Zoom in with two fingers. Drag with one to move around.

  3. Measure

    Press Measure, then tap two points. Press Done to finish. The scale usually comes from the file.

Questions

Do I need an app?

No. The drawing opens in Safari, the browser your iPhone already has. There is nothing to install and no account to make.

How do I open a DWG from WhatsApp or Mail?

Tap the file, tap Share, then Save to Files. Then tap Open a DWG file on this page and pick the file.

Is it free?

Yes. Opening and measuring are free. Open as many files as you like, each up to 40 MB.

Free views of DWG and DXF drawings carry a light "Preview" watermark; a pass for the file removes it. Measuring works the same either way, and PDF pages never carry it.

Can I measure with my finger?

Yes. Press Measure and tap two points. To aim exactly, hold your finger on the drawing. A cross and a magnifier show the point above it; lift your finger to place it.

The drawing is hard to read. What can I do?

Press More and switch off the layers you do not need. Under Background, Black shows the drawing in its own colours on black.

What happens to my file?
