Questions

PNG or JPG: which should I choose?

PNG keeps thin lines and text crisp, which suits drawings best. JPG gives smaller files that every program and website accepts.

Can I convert DXF to PNG too?

Yes. This page takes DWG and DXF files.

Will the image be to scale?

An image has pixels, not millimetres, so it is not meant for printing at a scale. For that, use DWG to PDF.

Is it free?

One conversion a day is free; the file carries a small line naming this site at the bottom. A pass lifts the limit and leaves the line out.

Which DWG versions work?

DWG files from AutoCAD and other CAD programs, including the AutoCAD 2018 format that current versions still save. If a file will not open, export it as DXF from the program that made it.
